Putting EX0DX on air again and some extra “work”…

EX0DX 27DEC19 till 12JAN20
ARUKR applying to IARU R1
Amazing CUBESAT woman-project

28DEC2018 UPDATE

#EX0DX CW and SSB (if any) activity is visible here https://clublog.org/livestream/ex0dx live when I a QRV

Topic #1 Holidays season is approaching and I am planning another trip to #Kyrgyzstan. I will operate EX0DX occasionally still from the very noisy QTH . However the focus is to spend my time with the family so my operation time will be randomly adjusted.

Anyway, this time I have some interesting pieces of equipment that will surely help me to get you guys our of the S9+ QRM

The nanoVNA and the SDR Play RSP 2 will help more as monitor devices

I plan to be QRV sometimes after 27th December 2019 as I have to erect the R8 Vertical antenna in the garden firstly. End of operations 11JAN2020

Temperatures are slightly below 0C which is OK. https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/kyrgyzstan/bishkek/ext

RIG will be the usual Yaesu FT450D with 100W and the Cushcrap R8 + dipole 40m. In June 2019 I tried a bazooka antenna with the hope of reducing the noise level but results were very unsatisfactory. I will look into the matter one more time.

I’m looking forward to some good QSO in spite of the inexistent Sun activity as of today 22DEC2019

WHY extra work? Topic #2

I have been appointed by the National Amateur Radio Union of the Kyrgyz Republic ARUKR as IARU R1 liason officer. We are in the process of finalising all documents for the application to fill the existing gap as Kyrgyzstan is not an IARU R1 member.

Topic #3

There is an awesome project currently running in the country related to a group of Girls building the first CUBESAT satellite ever as the Kyrgyz Space Program is crowdfunding the country’s first satellite. Info from TEDed blog and here . By the way they are searching for funds and I eager to learn more details about their project.

So family has PRIO 1 and the rest of the time won’t be boring

PY0F – first operation in 2019 – ARRL CW

Good to see such a good activity from PY0F. Keep up the good work.

Noronha Contest Group

The contesting calendar for 2019 just began and PY0F is once again on the air!

This time, the contest was not our main goal. Since last CQWWs contests we had a lot of new ideas and so we prepared ourselves to put the station “in test” but not “in contest” once again – Hi!.

The main goals for this contest were:

  • Test the new RemoteQTH RX Antenna System;
  • Setup a 200m long beverage antenna in NA direction;
  • Setup and test a new and exclusive power distribution system for the linear amplifiers;
  • Stress the Alpha 374 linear after a long QRT on the bench;
  • Test the 4O3A HP BPF filters, specially the triplexer with 2 x 1kw signals in;
  • Test crossband interference between two HP stations running the actual antenna system;
  • Try to have some fun between all of that tests… tests.. and tests… Hi!
