EX0DX – part 2

A short update after 24h from the last post

Last night I was able to complete 77 qso on #40mcw as #EX0DX. It’s still very difficult to fight S9+10 qrm but with the windom antenna is somehow better on rx.

Today I enjoed 44 QSO on #20m CW but the most exciting part was to tun split on #20m SSB with 82 different stations.
The 30m paid off but no US and I was forced to stop after sunrise as noise increase a lot with the dark.

I know this are not huge numbers but I am satisfied for what I have here as local conditions.

EX0DX now active

EX0DX is QRV form Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

It has been quite a while without news as most of the updates goes through Facebook or Twitter.

Anyway, the EX0DX licence has been renovated and the QRZ.COM updated. Moreover, as general interest info, the Kyrgyz Amateur radio union (ARUKR) has a new official site (in Russian language only) www.qrzex.com

I am currently QRV from Bishkek on CW and FT8 until 09th of January and made so far 10qso on SSB and 234qso on CW, manly on 20 and 40m. As my QTH has S9 to S9+10 noise it’s quite a challenge running smooth operations.

FT8 QSO amount to approx 140

I am running FT450, 100W, Multiband vertical R8 and a Windom 10-40m

QSL via usual way.

– DR9A (MO) claimed 511079 points in 2017

Glad to have contributed at DR9A station in the MO section.

See comments below from the IARU guys:

Comment to the 2017 September contest results:
2017 September contest is a special one – after 33 years the “magic line” of 500k points was crossed again. The remarkable achievement of DR9A now places them to September contest “hall of fame”:

– OK1KHI/p (MO) won with 591193 points in 1981 which still remains the highest ever claimed score in the 61 years history of this contest

– OE5XXL (MO) was second with 553769 points same year

– F6HMQ/p (SO) scored 554770 points in 1984 – highest ever SO score of all times

– F6CJG/p won MO section with 547542 points in 1984

– DR9A (MO) claimed 511079 points in 2017

We all look forward to year 2018 where other teams will try to beat DR9A and hopefully more will score above 500k points 🙂
