D41CV 2m FT8 ready for Transatlantic

Hi everyone,

at D4C there are experiments going on on 2m FT8.
Thanks to Mark EA8FF, D4C station was upgraded in a way that FT8 mode is manageable on remote. We run several hundreds of HF FT8 QSO signing D41CV.
Operators are now attentive to the next days tropo condx to operate the station as per the following information just released:

As there might be tropo across the Atlantic sometimes around next Tuesday onward, D41CV station (located in Cape Verde), WW Locator HK76MU will be attentive to any opening.

Please spread the info if anybody across has FT8 on 2.
D41CV remote crew will operate on
FT8 144.174 1000Hz.

Multi Multi category results


I am happy to announce our 1st place world achieved from the D4C contest station in Cape Verde with the callsign D41CV during the last CQ WPX SSB  contest on march 2016 in the Multi-Multi category.

Evenigs spent in QSL’ing (D41CV)

After the return from my participation with the D4C team in Cape Verde as D41CV, I have been spending several evening  in replying to direct QSL received at our  official address: Monteverde Contest Club, 6963 Pregassona, Switzerland.

Number of incoming QSL is roughly 100 pcs and as of tonight, all QSL have been written and will leave tomorrow by Post.

Should anyone require paper QSL and wants to pick them up at HAM RADIO 2016 in Friedrichshafen at our Booth number A1-464, we have set up an online form to be filled to avoid sending your qsl.

Going to Cape Verde

1) Participation to WPX SSB as D41CV

I am on my way to Cape Verde to take part into CQWW WPX SSB Contest (26-27 March 2016)  from the D4C Contest station in the Multi / Multi category.
